Frankincense

Frankincense! Known for millennia across the world for its pleasant aroma and fragrance, this tree resin from the Boswellia genus, found on the Arabian Peninsula, India, and the Horn of Africa, has been known by cultures around the globe to possess many useful qualities.*

Like Cannabis, Frankincense has well known anti-inflammatory and pain relieving compounds such as the Boswellic Acids and Incensole. In addition, it appears to possess mild, anxiety-reducing and relaxing psychoactive properties. When combined with other plants and resins that contain medicinal terpenoid molecules such as the ones found in cannabis, the effects against inflammation and pain becomes even more pronounced. This is due to the “entourage effect”, which refers to the synergistic properties of terpenes and terpenoid compounds. When you take a medicinal terpenoid, such as a cannabinoid or Boswellic Acid, you can augment the effects by adding other, common terpenes like those found in cannabis, fruit, certain tree resins and common garden herbs. This is why different strains of cannabis elicit wildly varying effects, despite the psychoactive properties coming mostly from Delta-9 THC in all strains.

At FrankinDabs, we take the purified resins of Frankincense, Myrrh, and other plant and tree resins, and combine their properties with those in cannabis. By combining Frankincense, Myrrh and cannabinoids, we are able to bring out the full force of these amazing plants by combining them into products that will benefit you and those close to you!
